Cheerleading as my main sport and I play Touch Football socially with friends.

What has been your greatest sporting achievement?

Winning nationals for sport aerobics in 2019, which was held in Queensland.

Who is your sporting hero and why do you look up to them?

Sally Pearson. She is a resilient individual, always striving to the best athlete she can be.

What is your most disappointing sporting moment, and how did you get over it?

At Cheerleading during a routine I fell and fractured my arm. I had to wear a cast 4-6 weeks and it prevented me from training. I was upset because I thought I would be out for the entire season. I focussed on training other body parts during this time.

What have you learnt about being a part of a John Therry team?

To encourage teammates and welcome everyone. Help pass on my knowledge to other people who may not have the same experience I do.

What is your favourite pre-competition snack?

Blueberries and Strawberries are my main pre game snack, but I also love eating Mum’s pasta the night before.

What is your pump up song before a race/game?

I don’t have a specific song that I like. I normally search for pump up playlists to get me in the zone.

During a normal competitive season, go through your week of training.

Monday - Cheer Tumbling and conditioning (Core work)

Tuesday - Running training, this is group training

Wednesday - Day Off

Thursday - Cheer Tumbling and conditioning (Core work)

Why do you think sport and physical activity is so important for young people?

To keep us fit and healthy, also enables us to keep in contact with friends and connect with new people that I have met through sport.

What positive quality has participating in sport helped you develop?

I have developed teamwork, it’s also good having people to help me overcome certain obstacles in my life.

What is the best thing about John Therry carnivals?

Competing against my friends, being able to see everyone so happy. Captains and teachers encouraging everyone to have a go.

What are some words of wisdom for younger athletes at John Therry?

Never give up and try your best in everything you do.
